“Possibly, one of the most peculiar hÃ³wen (gods) of the Patagonian-Antarctic selk’nam tradition preserved in the initiation rite Hain, is “KÃ³taix-HalahÃ¡ches”–the celestial counterpart of JÃ¡lpen, goddess of the Underworld (the Hollow Earth). Women called him “HalhÃ¡ches”, while men called him “KÃ³taix” (continued).
