Terence McKenna Favorite Word List

I recently posted a small list to Youtube that read:

“I have been on a marathon Terence-listening jag recently and realized he has some favorite words in his quiver that he pulls out regularly. I started keeping track of them. Top on my list are “adumbration ”, “casuistry”, and “concrescence”. Other expressions include “gurus geisheis, roshis and rishis” and “yawning grave”. If you can think of others, I’d love to hear about them. Thanks in advance for humoring me!”

adumbration: to vaguely foreshadow

casuistry: “the use of clever but unsound reasoning, especially in relation to moral questions; sophistry.”

concrescence: the coalescence or growing together of parts originally separate.
