Code Name: Zorro  is a book by Dick Gregory and Mark Lane that appeared the year I graduated from high school (1978). My high school history teacher and I saw Gregory speak at the Riviera Country club in LA, and we were filmed by some furtive character apparently representing forces that didn’t like the book.
“Zorro” was the FBI’s code name for Martin Luther King Jr. during the J. Edgar Hoover years.Â
